The trustee ministry is the ministry of caring for the management and distribution of funds.  They are to hold in trust legal documents of property and other business, assist the Pastor in budget development and monitoring the financial matters of the church.

Music ministry is a means by which a worshipper may experience the very presence of God. There is a song whose lyrics transport us to His throne. The music ministry uses music in every way to serve God. Service to God through the music ministry is generally expressed as service to the congregation of the church. 

We encourage the believers, support the sermon, and worship heavily! Come join us!

Empowering the saints through sound education through the studies as approved by our church leadership. We take what we learn on Sunday morning and apply it to our daily lives. In addition to the preached word. Sunday School is for all ages, and everyone is always welcomed!

Joy In Jesus: Everywhere! All the Time! We will help all of God's children understand that God affirms all life and God's joy can be experienced in every circumstance. This program celebrates that healing and happiness go hand in hand and that mighty works of God through Jesus Christ.

Vacation Bible School has a class for every age!

Black History Month is a month set aside to learn, honor and celebrate the achievements of black men and women throughout history and in our present time. We strive to not only celebrate our rich heritage during February, but all year. If you enjoy role playing and bringing historical characters to life, this is the ministry for you!

The mission is to teach this group how to minister to others through dance. Knowing how to relate what you're dancing to and understand the God you serve and how awesome He is. This ministry will participate in youth events and programs in the surrounding community. We will brand ourselves to be better leaders for the future of the church.

An ensemble of actors, writers and directors that uses theater to nurture and utilize the gifts God has given us, so Christ can be glorified through us. Our Purpose is to minister, evangelize, and witness for Christ, by bringing the Gospel to our community through the very powerful medium of theater. If you are interested in acting, writing, and directing and you are creative - this is a ministry you will enjoy being a part of. 

The Usher Ministry is an integral part of the church worship experience. We are doorkeepers and are usually the first contact with members and guest on Sunday morning and other services. We are a positive helpful ministry. We are committed to greeting and welcoming every parishioner with warmness and a smile. It is also our duty to meet the needs of our guest and members. 

The Education Awareness Ministry was organized to inform our congregation of information on educational resources. Each year the Second Sunday in June is our Graduate Sunday, where we recognize all of our Kindergarten, 5th grade, 8th grade, 12th grade, and college graduates.

We also announce the winner(s) of The J.C. Pyles Memorial scholarship. This scholarship was organized to honor our late Pastor, Rev. J.C. Pyles, Sr., and to acknowledge and encourage our youth for their commitment of excellence through contributions of the membership of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

The Youth of PVBC is a group who are encouraged to be active in Worship through dance, song, and education. They are also encouraged to be active in the community. PVBC youth is looking for you! Every Second Sunday of the month is our Youth Sunday where are youth are active in Sunday morning worship.

The Pleasant View Singles ministry was formed to encourage the single members and their roles in the church. We have activities to minister to one another about God's plan for us and we also reach out to our community and minister to others as well. We invite all non-married, widow(er), and divorced individuals to our ministry.

The Couples Ministry helps couples understand what the bible says about marriage; helping couples to learn and develop marital skills to enrich and nourish our Church, communities, and our families. We meet monthly (1st Sunday). 

We have adopted the Christian Health Center, West which is location on Magazine St. as our charitable mission.

Some events include sampling new restaurants, couples interaction, and we are spiritual, fun, and faithful!

The Audio - Visual Ministry provides a broad range of media that enriches, enhances and cultivates the worship experience for the church and community at large. As a result through audio and visual technology, the body of Christ is ministered to and edified through amplified clear sound.
